Kay and Peter Shumway donated a conservation easement to the Hanover Conservancy for the beautiful Mill Pond Forest on Moose Mountain. This area includes a large pond with a very impressive beaver dam that forms the main headwaters of Mink Brook. Below the pond one can find the remains of an old mill site in a steep section of Mink Brook as seen in the panoramas below.

The images below are composites of between 7 and 17 individual photos, the first one being the largest. A 50×30 inch print of this image hangs in the main conference room of the Hanover Conservancy.

The two bottom images are from a bit downstream of the first.  The blocks in the stream near the middle of the first image can be seen at the far left in the second and third images.
