Food is a very real part of Venice for the natives and the tourists. Not surprisingly, seafood if plentiful. As tourists we had some excellent meals in the canal-side outdoor restaurants. And we had some wonderful hot chocolate and croissants. Plus don’t forget the ice cream cone eaten by a tourist with a scraggly beard.
