The Fourth Vermont Pond Hockey Championships were held at the Lake Morey Resort this weekend. It was a wonderful two days of friendly, but hard fought hockey. The sold-out tournament drew teams from 5 of the New England States and Canada and players from 12 different states. Here is a brief slide show of one break-away goal. Links to many photos from these hockey tournaments can be found by clicking HERE. Click HERE to go directly to the 4th Pond Hockey Championships.

Second Vermont Pond Hockey Championships

Click HERE if you want to see more images from the 1st and 2nd Championships.

The 2nd Annual Vermont Pond Hockey Championships were held January 29 & 30, 2011 at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT. The games were very spirited but also clean and friendly. It was 4-on-4 hockey. If there looks like there are too many players on the ice in the photo below it is because this image is composed of four separate photos and the players didn’t stay still for me.The photos that follow show the Golden Sap Bucket—not exactly the Stanley Cup but this is Vermont—awarded to the winners: Open Division – Trailer Park Boys, 40+ Division – Ferrisburgh Fire Puckers, and Recreation Division – Brew Ha-Ha.

Until I get a chance to edit and post more photos from the championships, here is a brief slide show of a goal scored by the Trailer Park Boys.

Photos from the First Pond Hockey Championship are HERE.
