Yampa River in Panorama

This page is the beginning of some panoramas from a great trip down the Yampa River with OARS in June 2015.  More will be added, so please check back.

You can double click to zoom way in and use the left mouse to pan around. You can also use the + and – keys to zoom and the arrow keys to scroll. Please wait for the resolution to download.

This 19-shot image was taken from Wagon Wheel Point above the Harding Camps. Can you find Dakota?

This 20-shot image was taken from Wagon Wheel Point above the Harding Camps. Our campsite at Harding 4 is to the far left on the edge of the shadow. You can see a few rafts if you zoom in and wait for the resolution to download.

Another photo from Wagon Wheel Point looking down at our Harding Hole 4 Camp. You can see a a few details in the camp if you zoom in and wait for the resolution to download.

This 17-shot image shows a somewhat distorted view of our Groover above the Harding Hole 4 Camp. If you zoom in and wait for the resolution to download you might be able to read the secret “message” I added to the image.

This image below was taken from Harpers Corner. It shows the Lodore Canyon and the Green River at the top left, the Yampa coming in at the center behind Steamboat Rock, and near the bottom, the Green River continues.

Here is our camp at Warm Springs during breakfast.

This is Warm Spring Camp from a small hill. The “peak” is Warm Springs Cliff above the rapids.

Here is Stephen photographing Warm Spring Camp from the same small hill as the previous pan.

The boulder field at Warm Spring Camp was impressive.

This image was taken by my daughter, Jennifer, as we approached Split Mountain. It was the last day of two river trips, and I finally took a ride in a duckie. That is me in the foreground.
