Heather ran Winnies Rapids like a veteran with Dan right behind her. These were the very first rapids on our trip down the Green River in Colorado with OARS. They were supposedly named for John F. Steward’s, Winnie. Steward was a member of Powell’s second expedition, 1871-72.
