Snowshoe Out Back
Jann and I headed out back for a short trip down the Morton Farm trails before turning north toward our mailbox about a half mile away. It was snowing–the first good snow in quite a while. The woods were beautiful.
So I went wild an put a 81 megapixel image from out trek “in” my blog. You can zoom way in, pan around, and wait for the resolution to download. You can also use the + and – keys to zoom and the arrow keys to scroll. Or use the scroll wheel to zoom and the left mouse to drag. Then you can search for the Northern Hawk Owl I added to this image.

The Golden Sap Bucket Vermont Pond Hockey Championship tournament for 2010 was held yesterday at Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, Vermont. Here are a few images from this exciting event.

The winners were the Trailer Park Boys shown below scoring the first goal of the finals against the Billygoats.

Because this post has generated a lot of interest I have added a brief slide show of a few pieces of the action. After you view it, feel free to explore other parts of my web site.
If you click HERE you can see some images from the 2011 championship.

Kathmandu Video
As a test I have embedded one of the very first videos I have created–one minute of a street scene just outside the Thamel district of Kathmandu, Nepal. This video was lightly edited using a crude program and clunky transitions. In the video I attempt to show some of the noise and chaos that is Kathmandu. At the same time Kathmandu is a friendly city with interesting people and sights.
Skating at Lake Morey
I skated two laps around the 4.5 mile loop on Lake Morey today stopping occassionally to photograph a pair of ice boats, some people fishing, and some hockey players. Here are a few photos.
